July 3- August 11 is typically known as the #DogDaysofSummer due to the extremely hot and sultry heat. Staying cool should be your #1 priority & even though it’s summer, you should still have some fun. We’ve come up with a few ways to do both with your fur baby & kids– let’s get started!
#1 – Swimming or wading at a dog-friendly beach or park
Visit the local watering hole (pool or your backyard pool) & splash away the sizzles. Don’t forget to suit up with cute looks for the entire family!
Dine al fresco – Backyard bbq or pet-friendly bistro in town
There are TONS of pet-friendly bistros, patios and restaurants popping up because we REALLY love our fur babies. Ask around, search the internet for places that will accommodate you & your pooch during dinner time. Plus, there’s always a spot that allows fine & fun dining – your backyard! Outfit your space with lots of really cute sitting areas with new patio furniture just in time for a summer BBQ.
Run through the sprinklers. It’s so simple!
The kids & your pooch will love any chance they can get to get wet, squeal and have fun! Just add water and they’ll have fun for hours right in the yard.
June was National Camping Month! There’s no reason to not take that outdoor fun right into July & beyond. Read the blog and get great tips & gear for your trip.
And there you have it! Just a few ideas to keep summer fun during the hottest days and how to find everything you need at your local store. Take a few moments to tell us how you plan to spend the #DogDaysofSummer in the comments below.
