So you’ve got your outfit picked out, but isn’t that just the start these days? You can’t leave the house without finishing your look with all the decadent details that truly top it all off for a polished look. (I guess you can, but why would you want to?) Take those fashionably late 5 minutes and put them to good use! And if you can pull off this look in 5 minutes, call me.
Meet Sam! She’s a foundation and mascara type of girl, so I had to change that. Although I am a little jelly of her beautiful skin, it just made this that much easier. Follow along for your own decadent details makeover and exactly the products I used to get there!
FACE– I started with an illuminating primer from Estee Lauder since I was going to use a light sweep of foundation, because her skin didn’t really need much more! I stuck with Double Wear Nude to accentuate her skin without looking too heavy. Using the full setting brush from ecoTools (this set was the complete package for the entire face!), I added Estee Lauders perfecting Loose Powder for a sheer natural finish. Add a glow with my #1 partner in crime, Mary- Lou Manizer Highlighter using the precision powder brush. For blush I used theBalm Frat Boy, a peachy color, again I didn’t want to take away from her eyes. Next added the lightest touch of bronzer all over, focusing on her hairline and under the cheekbones using Clinique True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer.
EYES- theBalm Cosmetics did it again! These mineral shadows can be used alone or over another shadow for extra shimmer to create different looks. In the image to the right, starting at the top is “No Money, No Honey”, “You Buy, Ill Fly”, “Work is Overrated”, and “If you’re rich, I’m single”. HAH! I would love to have been in the meeting they created these names… ANYWAYS, I used the darkest color first, If you’re rich I’m single, concentrating on the outer corners of the eye and into the crease. Then used Work is Overrated, on the top of the lid and blending into the darker shadow. And lastly- use a fuller brush for the lightest concentration- and use the No Money, No Honey, on your brow bone and inner corner. I did a cat eye using theBalm’s Schwing Liquid Liner, because really what other kind of eye is there? Swipe of Arden’s Grand Entrance Mascara and ended with Ardells Faux Mink Lashes in 811. *PRO TIP- I cut these in half! On really full lashes, I do this because #1 its day time and didn’t want her to look overdone, and #2 Now you get two lashes for the price of one!
LIPS- Because I did a bold eye and lashes, I stuck to a more neutral lip- Try NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream in Metropolitan for a shimmery nude.
So maybe this isn’t the “5 minute makeup” look you’re looking for but got an idea of some great new products to try out! My favorite part about this look was that night when she text me “I’m low key feelin’ myself”. LOL, mission accomplished!
