Fold ‘em Up – The Iron Worker
How hard: Easy peasy for a quick, unstructured look
(fold up to just under the calf, pull down and smooth to desired height)
For jeans that are too long or for a quick way to shake up your game.
Fold the hem straight up about six to eight inches (right above your calf), then simply tug down on the fold to settle the leg of your jeans back into place. Smooth all around for a crisp look
Roll it Up – Do the Twist
How hard: Fair to middling for an on-the-go look
(twist & roll about 2 inches, stopping at the ankle)
Works best with a baggier-hemmed jean on a day when your shoes are the star.
Don’t worry about perfect cuffs here, the goal here is for a slouchy look. Grab, casually twist and keep on rollin’.
Fold & Tuck-
How hard: A little tough, but Lady Luck’s on your side
(fold up & smooth)
Skinny jeans work best to create a structured, yet feminine silhouette by slimming the shape of the leg with this technique.
Fold hem up about 3 or 4 inches. Smooth out cuff and create a strong, crisp bottom seam. Repeat for a double cuff or until your desired length is achieved.
