I can talk myself into ‘needing’ a new pair of shoes just about every week or so. But honestly, there’s only so many ways to do a heel before your closet turns into a sea of the same. That’s why I am SO excited to see all the new heel styles out in the market this Spring! These new trends hardly require any convincing to add them in your wardrobe and really freshen up your shoe game. I’ve compiled my top 3 must-have heel styles for this Spring that are currently on my feet or will be soon!
the stacked heel
This style features thin layers of wood that have been “stacked” up to make the heel. The shape of the heel can vary from thin stilettos to the chunkiest of heels, depending on your style and “walk-ability” preferences. The styling varies as much as the heel shape can: casual or dressy, suede or smooth, sandal-y or bootie. With all of this variation, find comfort knowing that these stacked heels will go with just about any outfit in your closet! I predict this trend isn’t going away anytime soon so time to stock up on the stack!
the block heel
THIS is a shoe wardrobe necessity. In my opinion, the block is the new stiletto. Not only is the wider heel infinitely easier to walk in than her slimmer sister, block heels are extremely versatile and instantly update your outfit. They go great with this seasons’ romantic and floral dress vibe. But my favorite is pairing them with rolled jeans for a more casual ensemble with just the right amount of femininity. Step one is the basic Madden Girl Beella sandals, this is your new Spring pump. Next, is the show-stopping embroidered style a-la the Sugar Floral heel. She’s in my shopping cart.
Espadrilles have been popping up on almost every blog or Instagram feed I’ve skimmed through this season. There is one in particular that is EVERYWHERE: the two-piece ankle wrap wedge. The Indigo Rd. Airy is exactly what that trend is. I am obsessed with this shoe. Being on the shorter side, I’m really loving the platform wedge to give some extra height and the foot coverage will keep me from wobbling around. This is the epitome of a must-have style for this Spring.
